Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has issued recruitment alert in Employment Newspaper dated 27 September 2014, wherein 70 Technician jobs have been notified.

1.Operator-Cum-Technician (Trainee)
- Vacancies: 25 (UR-15, OBC-6, SC-2, ST-2)
- Qualification: 10th pass with 3 Years full time Engineering Diploma in Mechanical/ Metallurgy / Electrical / instrumentation/ Chemical)
- Salary: 1st year-Rs. Rs 8,600, 2nd year Rs.12,200.
2. Attendant-Cum-Technician (Trainee)
- Vacancies: 45 (UR- 24 , OBC-13, SC-4, ST-4)
- Qualification: SSC + full time ITI certificate.
- Salary: 1st year-Rs. Rs 10,700, 2nd year Rs.10,000.
Age Limit (Both Posts): Maximum 18 years as on 1-1-2014 for General category candidates.
Application Fee: 250/- for post 1 and Rs.150 for post 2. No fee for SC/ ST/ PH candidates.
