Qualification: Must be Madhyamik Exam passed from the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education /equivalent. Also must be able to read ,write and speak Bengali language. However, this provision is not not applicable on  permanent residents of hill sub-divisions of Darjeeling and Kalimpong Districts. NVF, Home Guard personnel and Civic Volunteers working in West Bengal Police must complete 3 years of service as on 01.01.2018.

Age Limit: Maximum 27 years for general candidates.
