To honour the outstanding sportspersons of Punjab State who, by securing achievements at National and International level, have brought laurels to Punjab, applications were invited for appointing them against 10 posts of Deputy Superintendents of Police, 50 posts of Sub Inspectors and 65 posts of Constables in the Department of Home Affairs and Justice. For this an Advertisement was published in the newspapers dated 07-07-2016 (Daily Ajit, The Tribune, Punjab Kesri and Employment News dated 23-29/07/2016). This advertisement can be seen on the Departments Website www.pbsports.gov.in.
Now, the Punjab Government has made the following amendments in the prescribed conditions mentioned in the Notification dated 5-7-2016 for filling up these vacancies:
1) In the prescribed service rules for these posts for sportsper-sons, the relaxation of three years is hereby granted in the upper age limit.
2) The condition to apply for these posts was that only achievements posts-2012 Olympics were to be considered. Now the sportsperson’s achievements earlier to that period shall also be considered
The complete details regarding Form, Qualification and conditions for filling up these vacancies have been uploaded on the Departmental Website www.pbsports.gov.in. Candidates who meet these revised conditions are invited to apply now. It may be made sure that the applications should reach the office of Directorate of Sports, SCO No.116-117, Sector-34-A Chandigarh, up to 22-10-2016 by 5.00 p.m.
